I just love this book. It is beautifully
illustrated and comprehensively written, yet simple and easy
to follow. The author wrote it to introduce her young child to
the continent of Asia. It takes us across the entire continent,
from "A is for Asia" to "Z is for Zen," showing
us words and characters (alphabets & idiographs) of each
nation. Do not be mislead by the "ABC" categorization
-- by the time you reach "Z" you have covered many countries and learned
something about geography, culture, holidays, traditions and animals of
the area. One truly understands that Asia is not just China and India,
but is also ancient and extremely diverse |

A Jewish Holiday ABC
Malka Drucker
ages: preschool - K
Culture, Alphabet/ABC - Jewish, Judaism
This is a good book for those who are of the faith or familiar
with the Jewish culture. Prior knowledge will make it easier
to understand or explain the terms used on the pages. It will
also help determine which of the items in each illustration refers
to the respective A to Z references. Those who are not may find,
as my daughter did, that "there is too much I do not understand."
