We are more a guide than an online catalog or store. We search and search to find the best of what is on the market. Then we read each book, view each video, listen to each audio and visit each web site before we recommend a product to you.

We save you the hours it would take to browse book store shelves, retail stores, library and internet resources to find the best materials. So, visit us first to find the best books, related resources and gifts. Even if you do not shop with us, you may enjoy the books we recommend by borrowing them from your local library.

We offer multicultural and inspirational books, tapes, videos and more to enlighten and inspire children preschool to 12 years of age. Most of the books are recommended for reading aloud to children preschool to first grade. Children of reading age, eight years or older, can read the books to themselves, to you or a younger child. The messages in most books are to be enjoyed by children of all ages -- even big kids like you and me.

In our travels and experiences we have found more than 300 high-quality books, tapes, videos and other resources that expose our children to and enhance their perspective of the beauty and diversity of the world that surrounds them.

We look for books that do more than tell the traditional fairy tales or picture people of color or ethnic diversity while teaching nothing of their culture or, worse yet, scaring children or teaching them unrealistic goals. To encourage early learning we focus on books, tapes and videos that are informative and enjoyable for children preschool to 8 years of age -- but many are good for children up to 12 years of age.

For example, in our database you will find books that introduce affirmations, yoga, world religions, multi-ethnic celebrations, the origin of Chinese characters, bilingual bedtime stories, and Native American, Chinese and Indian folklore. We also recommend books written for adults to support, inform and challenge you to be the best role model for your children.

Most of the books we recommend are available only in independent bookstores or by special order. Our association with Amazon.com has made additional books available through our website. to encourage reading by all we include many books that are available in your local library system.
